World Savings Week

From 30 October to 3 November the NBS traditionally marked the World Savings Week by its financial education programmes. 

On 1 and 2 November NBS representatives held workshops at the Primary School “2 October” in Zrenjanin. Eighth grade pupils participated in the workshop “Me and My Budget” which focuses on personal and household budget planning with a view to developing responsibility in young people when making decisions about money and teaching them that money can also be saved, invested and donated.  Lower grades participated in workshops “Distinguished Persons Featured on Current Dinar Banknotes“ and “Dinar Our Money” which cover the topics of the history of money, forged money and ways to detect it and images featured in banknotes as a testimony of the national identity of the issuing country, with an emphasis on the history and tasks of the NBS.  

In cooperation with Banka Intesa, the NBS hosted on 30 October pupils of the Primary School “Laza Kostić” in Belgrade. Sixth grade pupils took part in the workshop “Me and My Budget” and first grade pupils visited the standing exhibition of the NBS. First grade pupils of the Seventh Belgrade Grammar School participated in the educational game “Saving for Ageing”.
