Photography exhibition “Goodbye”
The photography exhibition titled “Goodbye” by Aleksandar Radoš opens on Monday, 28 April, at 4.30 pm, at the exhibition space of the National Bank of Serbia at Slavija, Nemanjina 17.
Aleksandar Radoš (1960) has held around 20 solo exhibitions both in the country and abroad. He has been a member of the Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS) since 2000 and has received numerous awards, among which the most notable are awards from the Serbian Orthodox Church, two Annual ULUPUDS Awards, the Golden Award from the National Review of Serbia for Best Photographer, and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Vavedenje Monastery. He has participated in the realisation of various publishing projects – monographs, journals, books and magazines, and collaborated with the State Archives of Serbia, UNESCO, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Nikola Tesla Museum, and the National Bank of Serbia in the field of protecting national cultural heritage.
The retrospective exhibition at the National Bank of Serbia, marking 50 years of the author’s work, features 46 photographs. Regarding this exhibition, Radoš says: “The title of the exhibition reflects the idea of closing one chapter of life and moving on to a new one. Each photograph has a deeply personal mark, as it records the dominant interests during a specific period of life. The display of digital photographs in large formats is meant to evoke a connection with the feelings and experiences that have shaped me over the years and to encourage the viewer to reflect on their own life phases. Photographs are created not only with the eyes but with something deeper than the gaze – a feeling.”
The exhibition will be opened by Serbian writer Branislav Matić and Duško Vukić, a well-known Belgrade photographer.
It will be open until May 12, every working day from 10 am to 6 pm, and the admission is free.
