NBS to mark European Heritage Days 2025

On Saturday, 27 September, the NBS will mark the European Heritage Days 2025, held this year under the theme“Heritage and Architecture: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future (2025) – Architectural Heritage.” As before, the NBS will join a number of cultural and public institutions in the observation of this event to present a part of its own cultural heritage to the public.

In the NBS’s exhibition space at Kralja Petra 12, visitors will be able to view the standing exhibition “Money in the Territory of Serbia” and a themed exhibition “Coin Minting – from Design to Realisation,” as well as learn interesting historic details about money as a specific form of our cultural heritage.

Guided tours will be organised to visit the ceremonial hallway, where visitors will have an opportunity to view and enjoy the authentic interior. In addition to the project for the construction of the building itself, architect Konstantin Jovanović also made drafts for the decoration of walls and the rich interior decoration. Walls were painted by sculptor and painter Paško Vučetić and his apprentice Moša Pijade.
Visitors will be presented with a unique gift – a banknote featuring their own portrait.

Group visits (up to 30 people) to the building at Kralja Petra 12 are planned for 10:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Registration before the visit is obligatory. Please send your personal ID card number to izlozba@nbs.rs on business days, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
