"Little Pierre" exhibition of children’s cartoons

On Tuesday, 27 May, at 1 pm, the exhibition of children's cartoons "Little Pierre" will be opened at the National Bank of Serbia’s gallery at Slavija (Nemanjina 17).

More than ten thousand primary school children from all over Serbia registered for this year's national competition for the best children's cartoon. The competition jury, consisting of the chairman Aleksandar Zagorac, a teacher of art subjects at the School of Design in Belgrade, Tošo Borković, a cartoonist, and Nikola Dragaš, a cartoonist and a graphic designer, selected 124 of the most successful works for the exhibition, of which 30 were also awarded.

The “Little Pierre” competition provides an opportunity for children to creatively express their views on topics such as family, school, sports, culture, environmental protection, as well as various challenges they face in society.

The competition has been part of the Ministry of Education’s calendar of competitions and festivals for 12 years. It is supported by the Ministry of Culture and organised by the association “Friends of the Children of Serbia.”

The exhibition at the National Bank of Serbia’s gallery will be open until 2 June 2025.

The gallery is open on weekdays from 10 am to 6 pm, and admission is free.
