Programmes are aimed at children aged 7–14, and are combined with exhibition displays.
Children will learn about the following:
The workshop focuses on an interactive story about the history of money, from primitive means of payment to electronic money.
The dinar through history, from Serbian medieval money to today’s circulating currency.
A drawing workshop at which children draw a banknote of their choice, using their own imagination.
Participants learn how to create a home budget and practice annual budgeting by playing a game with envelopes. They explore the concepts of spending, borrowing and saving, in order to learn how to manage their own money and plan their budget.
Through age-appropriate workbooks children learn about the history of money, importance of saving, banknotes and their secrets, key information about the National Bank of Serbia, the honorary governor for life – Georg Weifert, security features of banknotes, etc. Children actively participate and fill out pages in the workbook (dot to dot drawing, colouring pages, and questions games).
