Programmes are aimed at young people aged 15–18 years, and are combined with exhibition displays.
Students will learn about the following:
The dinar through history, from Serbian medieval money to today’s circulating currency.
Participants learn how to create a home budget and practice annual budgeting by playing a game with envelopes. They explore the concepts of spending, borrowing and saving, in order to learn how to manage their own money and plan their budget.
A workshop on each individual dinar banknote (from 1884 to current banknotes) on which there is a person important for our cultural and historical heritage, with a description of the banknote and a review of the life and work of the person represented on it. The main goal of the workshop is to raise the level of knowledge about the importance of selected personalities for our heritage, as well as to arouse interest in further individual research about them and identification with the values they embody.
The workshop stages a detailed simulation of everyday life situations and in a fun and educational manner encourages young players to learn about income and expenses that await them in the grown-up world. It takes them on a journey through four stages in life: childhood and early education, higher education and employment, starting a family and career, and retirement.
It also clarifies numerous financial products, the method of electronic payment and the significance of financial literacy for a sound budget. The aim of the workshop is to teach participants to cope with life duties and challenges optimally and to save as much as possible for old age and pensions.
